The Dolphins need a running back and everyone knows it. The Dolphins need a starting running back and everyone knows it.

Of course, a year ago, we were saying the same thing

I’m on board with a 1st round RB with the latter 1st round selection we have. Tua is the driving motivation to pick one up that early.

I would be excited to get Etienne, because of his gamebreaking speed. Yes, Derrick Henry is big, but he is also fast (I seem to remember him repeatedly being on ESPN for reaching one of the top speeds for the week on long TD runs). I'd rather draft Etienne at 36 than Harris at 18, if it meant we could get Parsons or Ojulari or Paye at 18. But, I don't think Etienne will make it that far into the second round. Drafting him at 18 seems a bit rich, but if we traded down from 18 or up from 36, I'd be content drafting him in the mid 20s.

It doesn't seem like you could go wrong with either of the first 3 rbs in this draft, but every year it seems some kid drafted in the later rounds outperforms most of the high picks so I understand the reluctance lots of folks have to spend a high pick on a RB. To me, I would take Harris at 18, but I know lots of people disagree with me. I would be very happy with Etienne or Williams too, but that's just the predraft hype train talking to me. Who really knows?

Nobody. That's the point. It's just all fun banter at this point.

I'll be somewhat surprised if the Dolphins select a RB in the first two rounds.

Excited. But surprised.
