Of all seven linemen added to the Dolphins’ roster over the last sixteen months, the average weight is 320.7 pounds —

short area power in the form of the standing broad jump seems to be the best indicator of what quality the Dolphins covet. ...
all logged a standing broad jump that exceeded the 70th percentile for their position group
Which 2021 offensive line prospects qualify?

Alabama OL Alex Leatherwood: 312 lbs, 98th percentile broad jump (9-feet-10)
Texas OT Samuel Cosmi: 314 lbs, 98th percentile broad jump (9-feet-9)
Tennessee OG Trey Smith: 321 lbs, 92nd percentile broad jump (9-feet-4)
Wisconsin-Whitewater iOL Quinn Meinerz: 320 lbs, 90th percentile broad jump (9-feet-3)
Stanford OL Walker Little: 313 lbs, 90th percentile broad jump (9-foot-3)
Oregon OT Penei Sewell: 331 lbs, 84th percentile broad jump (9-feet-1)
Oklahoma State OT Teven Jenkins: 317 lbs, 72nd percentile broad jump (8-feet-10)
Injury omission: Alabama iOL Landon Dickerson: 333 lbs (knee injury)
Just missed: USC OL Alijah Vera-Tucker (308 lbs, 77th percentile broad jump for iOL),

So perhaps someone like Oklahoma’s Creed Humphrey (302 lbs, 94th percentile jump) would warrant consideration for the Dolphins as well. But the trend lines here are pretty firm

I have draft crushes on Tevin Jenkins and Quinn Meinerz, but I really don't want an OL in round 1 after last year's investments there. I won't be mad if it happens, but I just think in terms of what we've allocated our resources to, it's time to invest elsewhere until we really see what we have in the young pups we brought in last year. Center is the exception to that idea, as I'm frankly not convinced we have a quality NFL center on our roster right now. So I'd be good with taking Humphrey late in the first.
