Simon Clancy of Gridiron rates him the #1 edge in his 2021 Draft Guide. He's a bit raw as he only played one year at edge, so, they see him more as a SAM LB. He's a possible bet at pick 18 if available.

Ossai logged an impressive season with Texas in 2020, emerging as a dynamic speed threat off the edge. Over the last two seasons, Ossai has recorded 10.5 sacks and 29.0 tackles for loss — making him a productive defender up front with plenty of explosiveness to his game. And a strong Pro Day performance may have helped push Ossai further onto Miami’s radar: he weighed in and 256 pounds and recorded a whopping 41.5″ vertical along with a 10-feet, 11-inch standing broad jump. That level of explosiveness in a 256 pound frame is pretty surreal and further backs Ossai’s claim as a potential fit in Miami’s gap control defense.
