Davone Bess Is Out For Sunday's Game
This Sunday, you can bet that Hartline will be doubled up, so, Richard Matthews and Marlon Moore will have to rise up to the occasion. Try not to forget that Matthews was a 7th round draft pick and Moore was a free agent pick up.
I hate seeing Davone Bess out for the game as he runs good routes, is an intelligent player in knowing the soft spots in a zone, and has good hands, but the silver lining in this lost season is that we should see more of Richard Matthews. I am very interested to know if he can be a part of our wide receiver rotation next year.
Koa Misi Is Out, Too.During the 2010 NFL Draft, Bill Parcells traded down from the overall #12 spot in the draft with a desperate Chargers team that needed a replacement for Ladainian Tomlinson. The Dolphins ended up getting a late first round pick and a mid-2nd round pick for him: DE Jared Odrick and OLB Koa Misi.
Koa Misi hasn't been the 'sack machine' that everyone thought he would be when we drafted him, but he has 3.5 sacks this year. Why people thought he'd be a sack machine always made me scratch my head as he wasn't a sack machine with the Utes at Utah. No matter as he plays a very complete game and will definitely be missed on Sunday. These stats from Pro Football Focus will let you know how important the play of Misi has been when compared to other outside linebackers:
Reggie Bush Said That Time is Running Out To Resign Him
Last year I thought that he did an outstanding job for us, but after a couple of games this year I am not seeing it. He dances too much behind the line of scrimmage and you can blame a porous offensive line for that, but he should be running north and south and not dancing sideways looking for a hole. The last couple of games he came out more decisive and it reflected in his play, but he needs to continue that.
With all that said, I would not be opposed to going into 2013 with Lamar Miller, Daniel Thomas, and adding a free agent back. I don't think we can afford Reggie as he is going to want a nice big payday. Plus he wants to be on a winning team, and I'm not sure if Miami is moving in the right direction. It seems like we are, but nothing is etched out in stone yet. We are playing competitive games as both the Patriots and 49ers did not have a cakewalk over us, but we are not a .500 team yet. Maybe next year? And it would be a big risk to go with Miller and Thomas next year as neither one of them can block their way out of a wet paper bag. They'd better learn. What to do, what to do? Roll the dice and go with Miller and Thomas.
Aaron Rodgers Is HilariousI know this isn't a Dolphins topic here, but check out these pictures of Aaron Rodgers as the 'Photobomber'. When the guys look at their pictures they are always shocked to see that Rodgers finds a way to get into them. The guy is hilarious, and we could have drafted him. OK ... I admit that I thought he would be another Tedford failure in the NFL.
Chad Henne is BackYep, he's back ... throwing more interceptions than touchdowns. I'm not worried. Are you?
