The Miami Dolphins got their 1st round pick and hopefully the quarterback of the future signed, as Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins agreed to terms on his contract.  Here are some notes on the contract from the Sun-Sentinel.com.

"Tannehill will receive a four-year contract that's worth $12.688 million, and features a fifth-year option that is held by the team.

The majority of Tannehill's money will be guaranteed, which is standard for first-round
deals under the new CBA. However, the holdup for Tannehill, who was selected eighth overall after starting 19 games at quarterback for Texas A&M, was "offset language," which involves how much of his salary Tannehill would receive from the Dolphins if Miami released him before the deal expires."

Also, the Dolphins worked out WR Braylon Edwards and have liked what they have seen and are considering signing the talented, but troubled wide receiver.  Here are some notes on that story from the Miami Herald.com.

"The Dolphins have worked Braylon Edwards and the team has serious interest in signing him.

First reported on Hard Knocks, the workout showed the Dolphins that the former 1,000-yard receiver is healthy and could be an option for the team in the near future. Edwards wants to revive his career after missing most of last season due to injury while with the San Francisco 49ers.

Edwards has drawn interest from Seattle."
