Big Game for Miami

Miami faces a crucial game in the young season today when the San Diego Chargers come to town today for a 1:00 kickoff.  This is also a crucial game for the Chargers, who come into town on a 2 game winning streak and are 2-2.  Point blank, this is a game that everyone expects the Chargers to win, probably including the Chargers.

During the bye week for the Dolphins last week, they accumalated a nice share of awards and it was nice to see, but for the most part I get the impression that most media people feel like the win over New England was a fluke.  New England was due a bad game and that bad game was against the Dolphins.  Let's overlook the fact that when the Phins were not running the Wildcat formation, they still controlled the line of scrimmage and Chad Pennington carved up the Pats D to the tune of 17-20 for 221 yards.  Forget the fact that Miami defensive front controlled the line of scrimmage against the Pats, it was just a fluke.

Well, if Miami goes out and beat the Chargers today, a Chargers team that is considered one of the most talented teams in the NFL, one of the teams that a lot of people feel with be the Super Bowl represenative for the AFC, it will go a long way to showing last week was not a fluke.

Let's go Miami
