ronnie brown phinfever jetsThe Dolphins did little offensively until the end of the game, yet, they stayed close enough to give us an exciting finish. The difference in the game was a bogus kind of a hail mary pass by Favre that our defense didn't seem to be able to get to. Very strange play.

Sparano seemed to coach a decent game, but he clearly made the mistake of going on it on 4th and goal with 9 minutes left in the game. If the Fins would have kicked the FG we could have tied it at the end of the game to force overtime.

The Dolphins receivers had trouble getting open, so, Pennington took the shorter passes to his tight ends. I will say that it was refreshing to see the Dolphins catching the ball well.

The two-headed rushing attack of Ricky/Ronnie produced very little against a stout Jets run defense. Ricky led the Fins with 24 yards on 10 carries and Ronnie followed it up with 23 yards on 6 carries. Ronnie looked more elusive than Ricky, but Ricky ran with power. He also made a nice over the shoulder catch on the last drive of the day.

Expect a more detailed analysis from Rich in the morning.
