The Dolphins are ready to debut this weekend, and much to my joy, they look completely different than they did last season. There is a competent QB at the helm that Bill Parcells drafted in Chad Pennington and the coaching staff are well of aware of his abilities and how to maximize his talents. Last season we had a seemingly competent QB in Trent Green, however, the coaching staff was a little over confident in his abilities and put him in situations where he had to make throw that he was unable to make. The Dolphins have also added a much better looking future QB in Chad Henne. There is depth at RB and the coaching staff actually LIKES to run the football. Ted Ginn and Hagan are improved. The offensive line was patched up and a young starting lineup has been established and is working towards cohesion. Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas are gone, and so is hopefully memories of a dismal defense last year and its head scratching shemes. Replacing it is a 34 scheme with a young and deep defensive line unit. Most importantly, you can see young talent being developed and potential for the future. So will it all come together this weekend for the Dolphins. This team is obviously still a work progress, but, a win for the Phins against the rival of all our rivals is always sweet, no matter the circumstances, especially after the Jets went out and spent a bunch of money this offseason on big names. Here is to the start of the NFL, and to a fresh start for the Miami Dolphins!
