Does anyone know of or have a list of available "candidates" that's current? I know they've interviewed a couple guys, some I seen on previous list are hired, etc.

It's hard for me to follow Twiter closely so, figured someone here may have a short list of guys they've heard about etc.

Do you want guys that are in the running for the Dolphins job or just candidates in general?

Just the Dolphins if you have any information. I appreciate it Rich.

It seems to be narrowed down to Kris Richard (pronounced Ri-shard) from the Cowboys, Brian Flores of the Patriots and Darren Rizzi. I'm rooting for Richard.

My question is if you interview one of your own assistant coaches for the head job, what happens to him if he doesn’t get it? I’m concerned that by interviewing Rizzi, they are essentially showing him the door if he doesn’t get the job. I’d hate to see him gone.

Pick his brain before he heads to NY and get a feel for what he and Gase plan to do.

Rizzi could still land the job. Miami could also offer the DC position to either Richard or Flores since it is a promotion from their current titles. I highly doubt that happens but anything is possible. Would definitely be a resume builder for either to take the worst defense and turn it into something respectable.

If this truly is a tanking effort then letting Rizzi get some HC experience I guess makes sense. As others have pointed out, it would be like Jim Tomsula in SF who coincidentally coached right before the hiring of Jim Harbaugh.

So Gary Kubiak is out as OC in Denver after disagreeing on what is going on there.

He would be a huge OC get in Miami. He doesn't want to be a head coach according to reports.

I've both heard and read about a Flores/Caldwell connection.

I think Kubiak wanted a Keenum like guy to run his offense. Rumor is Elway is looking for the big gun slinger in Drew Lock. Maybe Denver is targeting a different bridge veteran as well. At this point who knows. Word is just coming out that there is disagreement on how the offense should be designed.

I will say that if Jim Caldwell becomes OC as rumored then keep your eyes on Lock for the Dolphins. Caldwell's QBs have been Manning, Flacco and Stafford. The latter 2 at least were big armed and decently mobiled, much like Lock.

It’s looking like Caldwell is going to be the hire at OC.
