Maybe you forget, but the Miami Dolphins were 1-0 last season, too.
They had gone to Los Angeles and squeezed out a victory against the Chargers in the fourth quarter. And everyone thought that meant the Dolphins were picking up where they left off the year before when Adam Gase’s first group somehow banded together to make the playoffs despite not being exceedingly talented.
It didn’t turn out that way.

No one on the outside organization knew it at the time, but those Dolphins who traveled to New York for the second game were weighed down by a lot of baggage. Yes, that early in the season.

A good read imo. He points out some inside the locker room stuff that may give some insight into last years team.

Miami has a great chance to pile up a lot of wins before the bye against opponents who are flawed. Catch the Jets in a moment of arrogance and get a nice division road win.

Things I'd like to see tomorrow:

Tannehill throw a clean, efficient game

Parker come in fired up and have multiple catches and a TD

Drake run and catch for a combined 150 yards and a TD (become that total weapon)

Gesicki make a big Red Zone play

Quinn, Wake, Harris and Branch combine for a lot of hurries and at least 2 sacks

The entire secondary bait Darnold into a couple of picks

Contain Crowell and Powell allowing less than 100 yards rushing combined

That's a recipe for a double digit win right there.

I’d safely set the O/U on 13 wins.

This part of the schedule is easy, but the games have been sloppy and close. Not much to get excited about, because u know the team can’t beat quality teams.

The defense has been very good at times though. The D won the game today for sure. I hate Gase’s offense. Tannehill bailed us out using his legs.....but that is not really what we want to see. He is already wearing a brace.

You dislike Gase offense for asking Tannehill to run occasionaly and/or other reasons?

Tannehill's clean game (except for the ugly fumble) Check.
Parker.. um, nope.
Drake run + catch total: 70 yards and a TD.
Gesicki: nope.
Quinn was a beast. Pass rush totaled 3 sacks, but there were multiple hurries and knock-downs.
Secondary did indeed bait Darnold into a couple of picks.
Crowell and Powell combined for 41 yards, compared to Tannehill's 44 yards.

I would say that 2 factors were the biggest in the win. The outstanding play of the defense and Tannehill's running. He iced the game with his legs.

When are we going to see this "ludicrous speed" offense that RT was talking about a few weeks ago?

I think their pace is much faster than at anytime since Tannehill got here. That's just my eyes.

When he stops missing wide open guys on third down and dropping the ball out of his hands..
