He is playing in his natural position and has a chip on his shoulder. It's hard for me to go against Rams DC Wade Phillips decision on Quinn, but I expect a huge year from him.

Barry Jackson wrote:
Defensive end Robert Quinn. He overwhelmed Laremy Tunsil for a would-be sack on Wednesday and also blew up Kenyan Drake for a loss on a running play. That’s been typical of his offseason work.

“Special,” is the word teammate Vincent Taylor used to describe his skills.

Or, as defensive coordinator Matt Burke said Wednesday: “He’s a unique athlete. He bends probably as good as anybody I’ve ever been around. It’s weird to watch sometimes, to be honest with you. He comes off the corner and sometimes you think he’s actually rushing too high and gets past the quarterback, then he just turns his foot and plants it and bends it. His knee is about two feet off the ground and he can really hug it. It’s pretty fun.”

If he stays healthy he should be a real help to the defense. Hopefully Harris is taking notes.

It’s hard to get higher praise than that. I hope he chose his words carefully and isn’t full of ****.

Annnnd after reading, that quote is misleading. The guy is extremely flexible I guess...

What is especially impressive is that he is doing it against the best line we have had in decades.....

Glad he is on our side...Brady hears footsteps and knows we are coming this year!

I see that sarcasm (lol), Kev, but on paper it could be the best line since Ricky had that monster year with.

I am salivating and imagining Brady on his rear end like he used to be during the Jason Taylor years. With Quinn on one side and Cam Wake on the other, it could be some high-fiving going on our couches and in the stands this year.

Barry Jackson wrote:
The Dolphins ranked just 26th in sacks last season, which Wake deems unacceptable: “As a defense, we didn’t get to where we should have.”

But he loved the trade for Quinn, who has 62.5 career sacks and is expected to start at the other defensive end position.

“Tremendous player, great teammate,” Wake said. “I’m smiles all around for that acquisition.”

Tunsil talks about what a freak athlete Quinn is, and about his "bend". Tunsil is getting plenty of good practice facing Quinn.

Alain Poupart wrote:
Tunsil’s daily challenge: A hot topic among the media in recent days has been the incredible “bend” of new defensive end Robert Quinn, and there’s no offensive lineman who has seen it more often this spring than left tackle Laremy Tunsil. “Have you all seen his bend?” Tunsil said. “Man, he touches the ground with his knee to get up. I don’t know how he does it. He’s a freak athlete. It’s crazy.” Tunsil faced Quinn during his rookie season in 2016 when Quinn was with the Rams, but having the benefit of going up against him every day in practice is a great benefit for the Dolphins’ 2016 first-round pick. “I’m glad I’m going against a person like RQ,” Tunsil said. “He gets me better every practice. Coming off the edge like he does, he’s one of the best pass rushers in the game, for sure.”
