He maybe an upgrade over Marlon Moore but that is it. He is still a 4th or 5th WR on the depth chart at best.

I agree. Especially if Armon Binns contributes to special teams. But lets be realistic, Armon Binns is not the solution to Miami's need for a legit #1 WR.

I doubt anyone thinks that. If he can be a reliable set of hands over the middle or a jump ball guy in the red zone then he fits a very big need.

Teams need multiple decent targets. That is all I'm hoping for with him. He can be what R. Wallace and L Naanee were supposed to be but failed miserably.

I think its cool that he picked up the offense well enough to contribute so quickly. But lets see him take a step forward in at least his second game before we try to decide if he's a keeper, eh?

Binns got released because the Bengals have drafted so many receivers with high picks recently. He was a numbers casualty but he's a solid pro receiver. Him and Rishard Matthews will be our depth receivers behind Hartline, Bess and the new receiver we'll get in FA or the draft.

Then we'll just need a vertical tight end in the mix.

And what "high" draft picks? AJ Green clearly is the highest of them. Mohammed Sanu was a 3rd rouder. But that's pretty much it.

I like that Binns was able to learn the playbook quickly and contribute. That said, he hurt us bad today with some costly drops. One that would have been a touchdown that fell right into his hands and the other was a crucial play that turned the ball over on 4th down. If he makes those two catches, I'd be much more optmistic about him going into next year. Those would have been two clutch catches. But he didn't, so he'll get his shot to tryout next year. But honestly, if Ireland does his job Binns won't make the team next year.

Binns looks the part but man did he choke in crunch time. If he catches that pass for a TD the confidence alone would have sparked the offense to at least be more competitive.

He might actually stick as a 4th or 5th receiver. Seems faster and more athletic than anything else the team put out there this year.

I honestly think some team is going to overpay Hartline and pry him away from Miami.
