If Haynesworth could be had with a 3rd rounder(although unlikely) I would pull the trigger.

Too much money for the role he would play in our defense.

In any other year I would agree but, this is an uncapped year why should money matter at this point?

Again, you don't know how much that is without a collective bargaining agreement in place. In either case the money is not a point because there are no rules governing the current or future cap. By far, Haynesworth has already proven that he can play in the league. He may not be the right fit but, you never know.

Because even without a cap, teams need to be profitable. There is a recession out there. And as someone else stated, the cap could (and probably will) return soon enough.

As usual Snyder overpaid & the player under acheived for the amount which he is being paid. Let him stay stuck with him. Maybe Shanahan can get him straightened out.

I think its going to be somewhat difficult to reinstate the cap after having a uncapped year. It would be unfair to the teams that were over the new cap. maybe if they set the cap at whatever the highest paid team was at that point

It won't be unfair at all, those teams know that its a HUGE possibility that a cap will be coming back, if they want to be stupid about it that's their own fault.

That is why he is available. He wants to play in a 4-3 defense.

No thanks. He's a whiner and that signing bonus the Redskins gave him last year will nix any trade.

Even with this being the case as I am posting this from ProFootballtalk.com, I would not touch Albert. He had his best 2 years when he was playing for a contract with Tennessee. He still is very immature and as talented as he is, you don't know what you will get from Albert.

And this a change for me as I liked Albert as a player and thuoght he might have changed, but he has reverted back to his early days with Tennessee.

With the Redskins paying defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth a $21 million bonus last week, we're told that the practical length and value of his contract is three years, $16 million, with $9 million guaranteed.

Even without the cap. no team is going nuts. Even the Redskins have been relatively quiet in free agency.
