Dolphins won't go with youth movement
I guess I can respect that, but it doesn't mean that you do not give the young players some snaps in a game. Quote: Dolphins won't go with youth movement
Coach Joe Philbin is not in favor of getting players on the field solely for experience if the Dolphins are eliminated from playoff contention.
"Playing time has to be earned," Philbin said. "They earn it with what they do on the practice field. It's not fair to put someone into a game who doesn't deserve it." Even with impending free agent Reggie Bush's Miami future in doubt, we wouldn't expect rookie Lamar Miller to see significant action before the Week 17 finale. Philbin does believe Miller is "going to be a good football player in this league." http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/50118968/ ... ayer_news/

With Long likely out of here, I see Reggie staying in town.

Re: Dolphins won't go with youth movement
I would like to see the team keep Bush. Maybe a reasonable contract can be worked out? It makes little sense to create another hole to fill....unless Miller is ready to take over.

Funny how the Redskins went with the youth movement and low and behold, they are in the playoff hunt.

Lamar Miller was the running back on the first offensive play from scrimmage. Rishard Matthews also saw some playing time.

Man , some rookies are really stepping it up. David Wilson had a monster day. I think the reason we are not going with a youth movement is because we cannot??? opinions ....

Miller hasn't gotten enough opportunities. He's a gifted back.

Whether they want to admit it or not they're going to be playing a lot of their younger guys towards the end of the year. It's just common sense to play them and figure out what you've got so that you can arrange your draft process accordingly.
