Hartline was the best receiver on the field Sunday
I didn't say it, 'Mando did. And he has a good point. Armando Salguero wrote: To look at his statistics, Hartline was merely good. He had five catches for 84 yards (16.8 yard per catch average). But if you watched the game you understand Hartline was the best receiver on the field for either team.
He was open by five yards on a deep shot down the middle of the field in the first half. The pass did not connect because quarterback Ryan Tannehill overthrew the pass.
He was open, again by a couple of yards, on another deep pass in the second half. Hartline read the defense and turned what was supposed to be a hook route into a deep attempt to blow the top off the defense.
And the play was there. But the pass from Tannehill was underthrown this time and so, again, no completion.
One thing I know: The Dolphins had better be wary of the New England Patriots trying to poach Hartline in free agency. I know it is a possibility because I know Bill Belichick likes Hartline and, more importantly, respects Hartline.
Perhaps that's the reason the Patriots put their best cover corner, Aqib Talib, on Hartline the entire game. And throughout the game, Hartline was open anyway. I expect that will get Belichick's attention. That's right, the same guy that had his sights on Wes Welker might be going back to the well in the offseason if Miami isn't careful.
Anyway, Hartline's statistics don't suggest it. But he also had a very good day against New England. Read more here: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolphins ... rylink=cpy

I can see them getting Hartline and Bush. Watch how well they do with NE.

LOL , when the game started on Sunday I thought to myself that this is Bush's NE tryout.

I can see them getting Hartline and Bush. Watch how well they do with NE. Hartline could thrive in NE. Then again, a lot of receivers go there with high expectations and become ghosts. Its funny, no matter who they bring in it seems the TE's and Welker are the guys still racking up the numbers. I still contend that Miami doesn't need a big time guy, just another Hartline (maybe a faster version). 2 Hartlines, Bess and a TE who makes plays are what the doctor ordered. Oh, and an accurate Tannehill.

He has been the best receiver on the team not named Marshall since he was drafted.

Add Greg Jennings, draft another wideout and a tightend, then we'll be set.

A team weak at the WR position with a young QB and they let the best WR go two straight years?? I wonder how the boss will feel when that happens being he feels the # 1 priority is to get WR's, not lose them...

Face it , all this wishing & wanting & we will be set if we sign this guy & that guy , and this guy we signed has all the upside & potential , etc , etc . yada , yada , yada. We along with the Jets & Bills major improvement will come when Brady retires.

Or when one of the teams mentioned above finds a franchise QB.

Yeah...when things are down in Dolphin land, we will always have the Jets to make us feel better! I suspect they will be drafting a QB though....

I think they trade for Vick or Smith. They need to win now & the QB class is not that great . being they wasted picks by moving up for Sanchez they look to a veteran.
