Two players that stood out and have been standing out. Rashad Jones and Tanny played out of their skulls today. They are ballers and will be pretty good players.

Oh cause he missed on two throws? Yeah, Tom Brady was horrific too then...

Get real. Tanny was the only one making plays.

Tannehill wasn't as accurate as you would have liked. But other than that, he was safe with the football and had a couple of nice scrambles.

Tannehill was 13 for 29 186 yards. No TD no Picks. 66.2 rating. 3 sacks.

5 for 19 yards rushing and a TD.

He didn't just miss 2 throws...He was inaccurate all day and slow to make his reads.

He took a step back today.

Took a step back? Really? He did some good things & some back things. He did not do one thing to discourage anyone with his development. Its not a weekly step forward, step back type thing.

Tannehill played hard, but his accuracy was poor today. He overthrew Hartline early, then in the 4th quarter with Hartline alone streaking downfield for a sure TD Tannehill severely under threw him. Yuck. He was bailed out on other poor throws by the receiver.....Clay's catch of a ball thrown well behind him comes to mind immediately.

I'm still fully confident he's the franchise. But he had a bad day today. If he makes the plays he usually would have made, and needed to make today, we're right in this thing.

The defense kept the game close. Tannehill and the offense left much to be desired. Tannehill missed big plays, fumbled and took some sacks he did not have to take. I know he took a hit for that fumble, but you didn't see Brady coughing it up when he took some good shots today.

Oh....I also think Martin needs to stay in the LT spot. He gave up a sack on a mental error, but did very well otherwise once he took over for Long.

Good points PR , but by saying he is the franchise are you saying he certainly deserves to be the QB for the next few years because he has earned that right because of his play or are you saying by the franchise that he is clearly gonna be a Brady , Favre , Manning , etc.
I think what he has shown so far he has earned the right to eliminate any QB controversy for the next season.

FINesse I think he's earned the right to show he is that guy for at least another 2 seasons (partly because of draft status). Personally I'm confident he is that guy...not Brady or Manning, but more of Big Ben or Matt Ryan.

When the guy starts putting up more W's than L's, and throws more TD's than INT's, then it will be time to anoint him "the guy.". He gets a pass this year because he is a rookie and the team decided to start him with a lackluster receiving corps.

Look though....3rd round pick Russell Wilson is winning games with a pretty poor supporting cast. Luck is probably going to take last year's losers to the playoffs. Even Kaepernick is putting up wins (with a lot of help from that D). Tannehill is not the man quite yet. Some things to like about the guy, but we need more from our QB than we are getting right now.

Tannehill missed on 2 bombs today that hurt, but there were drops and too many times when the line gave him time an nobody got open. Goes back to needing more help in the offseason. We're lookin fine going into an offseason with tons of picks and money. We're in the best position we've been in in a decade.

Keep riding Tannehill's athleticism. If the defense is scared of his legs, receivers will find it easier to get open.

Could it be because their QB's are better? The QB position is important.

Not sure Russell has a poor supporting cast. Good O-line, top 5 rusher, Sidney Rice, Golden Tate, Doug Baldwin are a decent trio at WR...great defense. A lot more than Tannehill has.

That said, Wilson is out playing Ryan right now. No question.

So is RG3 and Luck.

Those guys were drafted ahead of Tannehill for a reason. Both special, special players.

Ryan just flat out isn't as talented as them.

no, Kapernick makes more mistakes than Tanny. Tannehill beat Russell Wilson. Luck is just great.

You can't blame Tannehill for fumbling when he was hit during the throw. He had already cocked the ball back and was going through his throwing motion when he got hit. In my mind, the offensive lineman needed to do a better job protecting him in that scenario.

Also, I don't blame Martin for the sack, he had beaten the defenders first and second move before he gave up that sack. Tannehill had plenty of time to throw the ball. That was a pressure sack. The receivers didn't get open and Tannehill didn't throw it away in time.

You can confidently take it to the bank that we will manage to have a piss poor offseason with the amount of ammunition we got, it's going to be like Helen Keller behind the barrel man. We may hit on 1 or 2 guys, but we'll miss on 80% of them, it's a trend and they have yet to prove me otherwise.

Tannehill played hard but he left a ton to be desired today. I think part of it had to do with him not wanting to make a mistake throwing the ball, seemed a bit tentative. Has to be fearless and accept mistakes in the developing phase. A lot of his throws were unacceptable. Fins had a chance to make a statement with a big upset the way the defense played today.

Jones is blossoming.

I thought he played pretty decent, but the offense sputters a lot. You can't totally blame it on the OL, although they do make his job challenging. He missed two deep passes where the receivers were wide open, but it was encouraging to see him notice them open and try to hit them. I think he's going to be a really good player for us. I like a lot of what I see from him in his first year.

I believe that is what a messageboard is. We are pointing out what went wrong in the loss.

You know when we loose its all his fault and his play is diminishing...

No one said it's all RTs fault. We lost as a team today and we are discussing the issues.

I was being sarcastic as far as "all his fault"

I do understand your point, this is a discussion board and the purpose is for us to discuss things with the Dolphins. So people have the right to join in and speak their mind..

Just seems like I heard all this before, like after every game the same discussion ensues over where RT stands.. I suppose its just par for the coarse when starting a rookie QB...

Its all good....
