Long and Fields lead positions in AFC Pro Bowl Voting
Quote: DAVIE - You might not think Miami Dolphins left tackle Jake Long is having a phenomenal year but plenty of NFL fans across the nation disagree.
Long, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, presently leads all offensive linemen when it comes to fan votes, which is one of three components that determines which players make it to Hawaii for the NFL's version of an All-Star game.
Long has 133,326 votes, which not only leads the AFC, but is also more than the NFC's leading vote getter at the position, Vikings offensive tackle Matt Kalil, who has 117,564 votes entering this week.

This really is just a popularity contest. This has been by far Long's worse year.

The Texans left tackle by far is having a better year than Long....however I don't have the stats to prove that comment : )

Who cares, I hope they both get it, even if Long doesn't deserve it lately.

I COMPLETELY agree, starters like Reshad Jones who have had incredible seasons (Jones is a top 3 Safety performance wise this year), honestly do not have much of a chance due to their name on the back of their jersey.

Re: Long and Fields lead positions in AFC Pro Bowl Voting
It's great to see that Fields is finally getting some credit. Jake Long is getting the kudos due what he's done prior to this year. He was a beast and everyone knew it. I think the fans are usually a year behind when it comes to Pro Bowl voting, and there have not been a lot of Miami Dolphins games televised nationwide. I'm glad that it looks like he's getting ready to go. The more Dolphins the better. I think Pouncey will make the team next year if he continues to play well.
