Re: Louis Oliver:Riding those Buffalos all the way back to Miami
I remember this season like it was yesterday. Gary (NFLJunkie) and I were at a sports bar in Colorado called Jackson's Hole and literally 75 buffalo fans were upstairs above a pit area that the Dolphin fans used to watch games together. All those Buffalo fans went around touching a Bills helmet when they walked in and one of the guys came down and said there is NO WAY possible Miami can win this game. We had so much fun banging the ceiling every time Miami scored or got a turnover in that game. Needless to say it was very satisfying when those Buffalo fans started leaving the bar early that day!!
Here is a you tube clip of all of Marino's touchdown passes from the 1992 season and you will see a few from that game Oliver ran back the TD.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nypMrFxVAMkI remember being so inspired when Miami shut out the Chargers in the opening playoff game that year and I immediately booked my airfare and flew down to Miami the next week for the AFC Championship against the Bills. Unfortunately, I knew it was a bad omen when in the opening series Mark Clayton got wide open down the right sideline and had an easy touchdown, only to lose the ball in the sun.
