Post Louis Oliver:Riding those Buffalos all the way back to Miami
One of my favorite all-time Miami Dolphins moments ... right after Oliver picked Jim Kelly off for the 3rd time with a 103 TD return.

Got a video of that 103 yard return? He had 3 picks in that game. 37-10 beatdown. I was there.

I remember this season like it was yesterday. Gary (NFLJunkie) and I were at a sports bar in Colorado called Jackson's Hole and literally 75 buffalo fans were upstairs above a pit area that the Dolphin fans used to watch games together. All those Buffalo fans went around touching a Bills helmet when they walked in and one of the guys came down and said there is NO WAY possible Miami can win this game. We had so much fun banging the ceiling every time Miami scored or got a turnover in that game. Needless to say it was very satisfying when those Buffalo fans started leaving the bar early that day!!

Here is a you tube clip of all of Marino's touchdown passes from the 1992 season and you will see a few from that game Oliver ran back the TD. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nypMrFxVAMk

I remember being so inspired when Miami shut out the Chargers in the opening playoff game that year and I immediately booked my airfare and flew down to Miami the next week for the AFC Championship against the Bills. Unfortunately, I knew it was a bad omen when in the opening series Mark Clayton got wide open down the right sideline and had an easy touchdown, only to lose the ball in the sun.

Quote:
The emotional boundaries of Oliver's professional career have been defined by the Bills, whom the Dolphins face in the AFC Championship Game at Joe Robbie Stadium:

- He has been humiliated, such as when he was knocked unconscious at home when the Bills won on the final play of that season opener in 1989.

- The next year in the playoffs, Oliver was beaten so badly in the first half by the pass patterns of Buffalo receiver Andre Reed that he didn't play in the second half of a 44-34 loss.

- This season, Oliver's three-interception effort in a 37-10 victory at Buffalo on Oct. 4 put him in the NFL record books.

Brian Cox double bird salute to the Bills fans in 1993 is still better than Oliver's riding the Buffalo dance.

I'm hoping this new Dolphins team can make up some new dances when we win tomorrow.

Cox was an idiot and that moment was one small piece of a mountain of evidence proving it.
