David Boston pleads guilty to battery

Former NFL wide receiver David Boston plead guilty to charges of aggravated battery in a Florida court on Tuesday.

According to a report by the Associated Press, a woman required 10 stitches after being punched in the head twice by Boston at a Boca Raton, Fla. home. Boston had been seen drinking prior to the incident. Boston faces up to 35 months in prison. He will be sentenced at a hearing on Dec. 7.

The former first-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals played parts of eight seasons in the NFL, most recently in 2007 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. For his career, Boston had 315 receptions for 4,699 yards and 25 touchdowns.
