Post Richard Marshall put on IR
I think we all saw this one coming.

How he played against the Cardinals is still beyond me.

Dolphins claim CB Brandon McDonald from Tampa Bay. CB Richard Marshall goes on IR.

It also means that not a single one of our Free Agent pick ups this off season is on the 53 man roster.

Yeah but we didn't break the bank on anyone either. Most of them were minimum wage guys. Marshall was the only one that got a decent contract.

Still. You'd at least like to see rotational, or special teams guys contributing...

I think they signed 9 guys if I'm not mistaken.

Not getting on Ireland too much. I liked the off season outside of the Egnew pick. But Free agency has been a weak spot (for the most part) since Parcells was brought in.

Hopefully he can come back healthy next year and lock down the nickel spot like he was supposed to do when we originally signed him.

This is unfortunate as I was hoping Marshall would get back on to the field again this season. Hopefully, the other guys will continue to step it up. Tennessee still has speed at receiver and we can ill afford to go into the approach of corners laying off the line of scrimmage 10-12 yards.

I agree, drives me nuts when our corners are so far off. We have done much better in pass cover when they stay close and check the guys coming out. You have 5 yards to make contact, slows them down, throws off timing. Once outside of that 5 yards it comes down to speed and route running, and I dont trust any of our corners in that area..

We gave up way too many 10 - 15 yard chunks last week.
