It's official. I think the Dolphins need to try to find a mid-round replacement for him. Two concussions in 5 games is bad news for a physical back. Too bad as I think he's made real improvements in pass blocking, and he never seems to get on track to improve running the ball due to his injuries.

Daniel Thomas listed with a concussion

Dolphins RB Daniel Thomas has been officially listed with a concussion.

The Dolphins held off on announcing that Thomas sustained a concussion in Miami's Week 5 win over the Bengals until after Wednesday's practice. With this being Thomas' second concussion this season, there is certainly cause for concern. No timetable has been set for his return.

On a human level I just hope the guy is ok. Concussions this close together is a horrible sign. He needs to sit out awhile and let his brain recover.

Are we not human on other levels?

:fart:

I hope he is ok as well. Take a week or two and let Miller get some time in. Mix it up and put Clay/J-Train in for blocking.

Thomas has not been bad, I mean even after missing time last year he led rookies at YFS.
But he has yet to strike me as a # 1 RB, he is just a change of pace power runner.. Unfortunately you cant predict injuries, take them away and he can be good. Just seems to fragile at this point for his style of running.

There is life after football, and injuries to the brain are something you take VERY seriously. Once you get that first concussion, the next come easier and easier.

Not sure how much of a career Daniel has left, especially being a running back and be part of collision on many occasions.
