Boldin or Marshall if you had to choose?
I say Marshall, but that's an opinion. Let's see what the masses say.

If Marshall had his head on straight, this is not a debate. Unfortunately, he doesn't, so I said Quan.

All money/trades/baggage aside I'd take Marshall, the guy is just good.

I went with Marshall. But I have to question the choices. The question is "if you had to choose" but yet a choice is "neither"

Re: Boldin or Marshall if you had to choose?
I cant say none, but wouldnt mind a few options...
Maybe put in a Boldin Marshal Austin First Round Pick
I like Marshall over Boldin just slightly, but its mainly because Boldin plays behind Fitz, he would have to be that guy here, and he sees alot of the sideline in Az....
But I would take Austin over all of the above mentioned...
Funny there is not alot of talk about the undrafted free agent WR picked up by Parcells/Ireland in Dallas thats making alot of waves. He is also a FA and JJ did not give him an extension...

Re: Boldin or Marshall if you had to choose?
I went with Boldin because of the maturity issues with Marshall.... I mean punting the ball away during practice? C'mon man!

Iowafin wrote: You honestly think that Austin won't get resigned? Dallas did not offer him any contract extension this year. Being he is in a contract year, I think his level of play raised his price a bit. Kind of a dumb move by JJ, he could have had him at a discount. Do I think Dallas will resign him? They will surely try... But, will he stay if we make him an offer as well? This is a business after all... The question is will we pay for him. I doubt he would cost as much as Boldin or Marshall though, unless the Cowboys offer him it....

Re: Boldin or Marshall if you had to choose?
As much as I love Anquan Boldin, I would go with Brandon Marshall because of his age and lack of wear and tear on his body. Anquan is as physical a WR as there is in the NFL and is still a premier WR in the league. While his injuries have not required any type of surgery, they all add up and take a toll on the body. And for the record, Anquan was the #1 WR for his 1st few years until Larry Fitzgerald joined the club, and if you look at there numbers, they are remarkably similar.
I was pumping Miles Austin last year when the masses were saying he was unproven and did not want him and said he was not a playmaker. I saw it in the kid the times I saw him play last year and was hoping Dallas would leave him available. But Jerry knew Bill would snap him up and Jerry is not going to let his Pro Bowl WR get away now.
Back to Brandon Marshall, this guy would be perfect for this team and Chad Henne. A big WR with good speed, can go up and get the ball in traffic, strong and can get you YAC. And more important in this equation is that he is in his prime of his career as he is 25 years old.
Obviously the big issue with Marshall has been his continued showing or lack there of in regards to maturity. From the domestic violence situation which he was cleared of to the incident in practice were he was acting like a baby, he had a lot of growing up to do. That being said, you can put provision in his contract in regards to his behavior and in Tony Sparano, you have a coach that will not call him out like the young Josh McDaniel did, but we know Sparano is a no nonsense guy and behind the scene will get that message accross to Brandon. And we know Bill Parcells will not put up with the BS.
What will it take to get Marshall, probably a 1st round pick. I can live with that since I am in favor of taking a serious look at Dez Bryant at #12. Anything more than that and I pass and the regime will as well.
