 If a 9-7 Jets team is in the AFC Championship game. . . then how far away are we?

Re: If a 9-7 Jets team is in the AFC Championship game. . . Yeah, the Jets are not that good. They got gifts to even be in the playoffs, and then the Chargers gift wrapped today's game. Lucky, not good, but sometimes that what you need to do anything in this world.

Re: If a 9-7 Jets team is in the AFC Championship game. . . I guess you get into the playoffs & then anytime in a one & done situation anything can happen , especially if breaks fall your way. Still with a great defense & a good runniing game that equals having a chance in the playoffs when it seems at times great teams get conservative.
I dont know haw far away we are or not anymore. every season at some point it seems conventional wisdom gets thrown out the door. Is this a typical Jet team that will shoot their load & be one & done after this playoff run or is this a young team that is getting great experience with these games & is just truly hitting their stride & will be a force in years to come??
Still , Indy laid down in the regular season & they might just regret that next week playing a team that really has nothing to lose.
There are a bunch of AFC teams much better than the Jets & better than us as well but like I said , just get in & anything can happen.

I think the key is also the fact that Miami can play and have a legit shot of beating anyone in this league. And that was this year, with all the problems they had.

I guess they never heard that saying "defense wins championships" when they layed down and let them slide backwards in shi! into the playoffs...
I will let them have the AFC, but the Saints are going to destroy them in the Super Bowl....

Although nobody remembers who loses the super bowl (unless you go in undefeated) with a first year coach & rookie QB after a 9-7 regular season , this year would be quite a success for them which hopefully will not carry over into the upcoming years. Also if they make the super bowl , really nobody let them have the AFC at this point although hard to admit they would have earned it. The Colts opened the door & the Jets are making the most of it.
