Ricky switches to Rosenhaus, plans to play beyond 2010
Quote: Ricky Williams plans to play beyond 2010 Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on March 19, 2010 11:58 AM ET Well, Ricky Williams is changing agents for a reason. He wants to sign another NFL contract.
A league source informs PFT that Williams plans to play beyond 2010.
When Williams signed his most recent extension just before the 2009 season, the idea was to play two more years, then retire.
The plan has changed after Williams produced one of his most impressive seasons at age 32. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/03/19/ricky-williams-plans-to-play-beyond-2010/Quote: Mike Berardino of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel noted Friday the NFLPA lists Drew Rosenhaus as Ricky's agent, marking a move from long-time agent Leigh Steinberg. (We've confirmed the information is correct.)
It's possible Williams is just looking for a change to help him with opportunities after football. Or perhaps he's considering extending his career.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/03/19/ricky-williams-switches-to-rosenhaus/Maybe the couple years off left him with more in the tank than we had anticipated? BP loves him, but will he resign a 32yo rb?

As long as he keeps running he will get short term contracts.

I would love to see him play a couple more years as a Phin. As long as he can put up decent #'s, he can contribute to Miami's commitment to the running game. And it will help justify the two 1st round picks Miami sent to New Orleans to get him.

LMAO Ricky did the math Retirement + Alimony + Child Support = Another broke ex football player.

Ricky could probably land a job with the Dolphins doing therapy for injured players and running like yoga or whatever after practices. Could be the healthiest team in the NFL, start a revolution toward more relaxed players that leads to more effective players. Just a thought

I like Ricky, but I'd rather we go in a different direction after this year. Seriously, the guy's getting old. Why do you all love him so much?

Most guys don't touch the ball that many times in their entire career, let alone in two years. He did all that, and he didn't even love the game, his life, and was dealing with a lot more than any of us know. How can you not love him? He's done a lot for the Dolphins.

The old useless goat is coming off a 1,000 yard season. He averaged over 80 plus yards a game the last 8 games of the season.

He has a great work ethic and has been a model citizen since coming back. Man he sure filled the void last year when Ronnie went down. I just pull for the guy because he is trying to do the right thing. Having Patrick Cobbs come back healthy will add even more depth this year.

Including cost us 2 1st round picks (which, tp his credit, were not his fault).

Hey weed is expensive so I can understand that. I love this guy, I don't know why he speaks to me and I think he complements the offense well. He has a couple of years left(I hope) in Miami! ;)
