OT: THE JETS MAKE ANOTHER MOVE (sign LT)
WWOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW the jets has just sighned LT. they are making all kinds of good moves. i think it is time for us to start making a splash or we are gonna get knocked out of the water. Why is it that the jets seem to be getting stacked at all the most important position in football ball . & we are doing a little bit of nothing. does BP not knot what a no cap year means. if not you would think he would be catching on to what rex & the jets are doing . WOW . i cant believe how they are stacking up that team . we need to snatch up OJ quick before the JETS do . & DRAFT A WR with the #1 PICK

Re: OT: THE JETS MAKE ANOTHER MOVE (sign LT)
The Jets signed a player that has lost a step in LT, and let go of a RB that just gained over 1400 yards in Thomas Jones and basically paid the same money that Jones got from KC.
I'm glad Thoams Jones is gone.

I'm glad Thoams Jones is gone. Well they intend to fill a different role with LT. Green takes over as main rusher while LT is a 3rd down back who's a great route runner. Jones caught 10 passes last year for a total of 58 yards. Now granted LT's pass stats are crap compared to other years but he caught 20 passes last year and before that he hasn't been under 50 receptions.

Re: OT: THE JETS MAKE ANOTHER MOVE (sign LT)
He is not going to be the primary ball carrier, but he went to the Jets because he is thinking he would have more opportunities in the run game. He knew he would not get that with Minnesota because of Adrian Peterson.
If Leon Washington comes back from his broken leg, Washington is far more explosive coming out of the backfield than LT is right now.

Re: OT: THE JETS MAKE ANOTHER MOVE (sign LT)
Two comments I found from the media ... Peter King wrote: Rex Ryan really wanted LaDainian Tomlinson. Ryan was in on meetings with Tomlinson on Friday in New Jersey to try to persuade him to sign as a free-agent with the Jets. Then the Jets coach, who has always struggled with his weight, went to Manhattan on Saturday to have lap-band surgery on his stomach, and the first thing he did when he woke up from the surgery was ask: "Did we get LT signed yet?'' the answer was no, so when Ryan had rested and returned home late in the day Saturday, he called Tomlinson to put on one last sales pitch. And Sunday morning, Tomlinson settled on the Jets. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/w ... mqb/1.htmlArmando Salguero wrote: Coin toss? Why aren't Jets owners outraged they DOWNGRADED from a 1,400-yd rusher to a 700-yd rusher in a non-cap year? http://twitter.com/ArmandoSalguero/statuses/10528577938

Re: OT: THE JETS MAKE ANOTHER MOVE (sign LT)
To Armando: get off the yards...LT brings a pass catching threat that Thomas Jones didn't have. Now you can have a pounder in Shonn Greene, a change of pace speed freak in Leon Washington, and the Kevin Faulk-type 3rd down back in LT. The backfield is now a swiss army knife instead of two backs (Greene and Thomas) that were essentially the same.

Re: OT: THE JETS MAKE ANOTHER MOVE (sign LT)
What concerns me the most about LT is his ability to find the endzone. People are calling last season an injury plagued off year ... if he has anything left in the tank he could become far more valuable in the Jets system than Jones was.

Do backs ever get it back once they start to decline? The Florida media have been quick to criticize the Dolphins for years. Most of them aren't impressed with this signing by the Jets. David Hyde wrote: 8. Who cares if the Jets got LaDainian Thomlinson? He's not going to help them next December or January. He might not be around then. He's had a great career. But the past couple of years have shown that he's done. And, in football, you rarely see a player go back in time like in other sports. Sun Sentinel

Re: OT: THE JETS MAKE ANOTHER MOVE (sign LT)
Jeez I forgot how big of a circus this place becomes when the offseason gets here.
Stacking their team?? With who exactly?
They got Cromartie, who is good, but LT isn't anything like he used to be, they would have a better running attack if they kept Thomas Jones.
