By Tim MacMahon ESPNDallas.com Archive IRVING, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys didn't take long to hire Paul Pasqualoni as their new defensive line coach. It actually took a matter of minutes. http://sports.espn.go.com/dallas/nfl/news/story?id=4828825

OT: Cowboys Name Paul Pasqualoni DL Coach
Armando Salguero wrote: Pasqualoni, who had been seriously considering taking a job with the New York Giants after speaking with coach Tom Coughlin Tuesday and Wednesday, was hired Thursday afternoon to be the Dallas Cowboys defensive line coach for 2010.
He is in Valley Ranch, the Cowboys training facility, today.
"We know what kind of coach he is," Dallas coach Wade Phillips told the Dallas Morning News. "Anytime somebody does a really good job, if you have a chance to get him again you take that opportunity. Similar to Dave Campo. Everybody knew he was a great coach. We had a chance to get him again and we did." http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolphins ... turns.html

How this came to be .... FFMastermind wrote: ESPN reports the University of Georgia announced the hiring of Dallas Cowboys defensive line coach Todd Grantham as its defensive coordinator Friday. The Cowboys, meanwhile, announced Grantham's replacement minutes later, saying former Syracuse coach Paul Pasqualoni would fill the role. Pasqualoni, who was fired this week as the Miami Dolphins' defensive coordinator, was a Cowboys assistant for three seasons. http://www.ffmastermind.com/teambits.php?team=DAL

I bet he gets a ring in Dallas before Miami gets the Super Bowl. That team has a commitment, in hard currency, to winning. They realize it takes spending a boat load of money to make an even bigger boat load of money back down the road.

That's the reason the Yankees had 10 championships last decade, and why the Raiders are perennial contenders, and why the Cowboys have won so many January games over the last few years.... .....Oh wait.

The Yankees are the champions now, aren't they? Thought so.......
The Raiders money is wasted with Al Davis in control.....they are stockpiling good players though. Will Al Davis move on (It seems he is only limited in tenure by his mortaility) before those players retire though?
The Cowboys at least make the playoffs most every year these days.....how about them Phins? I hate the Cowboys, but they at least seem to use their money to improve their team.....our ownership seems to be using their money to bring in celebrities and stupid fight songs.

The Dolphins spent the most bonus salary money in the NFL last off season. What evidence do you have to support your claim that this ownership is not willing to spend money on the team? And yeah....the Yankees won for the first time in 10 years......As many as the Marlins who perennially spend the lowest ammount in the MLB.

Here ya' go, we dont even lead our own division in salaries.....in fact, we are dead last. I realize this is cap money....but it is a good indicator of expenditures: http://www.sportscity.com/NFL-Salaries/The team that spent the most money in the division.....they are still in the playoffs now. They overspent, but at least they are committed to winning.

And by the way those are not correct figures that the site gave. Those numbers are way off.

Well I'm happy for Paul. He does great things as a position coach. Best of luck to him.
