Jason Taylor taking his time with Free Agency
Quote: Quick update on Jason Taylor: I'm told he's taking his time w/ FA because there's no salary cap. Four teams are interested, including Miami. The Dolphins and Taylor have been in communication, and Miami is fine with him taking his time. He knows how the Dolphins feel about him. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/player ... _teams=MIAper Jeff Darlington's Twitter. I hope the phins keep JT, we can't afford to lose anybody else on the defense and JT definitely has another year or two in him.

Re: Jason Taylor taking his time with Free Agency
All I needed to hear was that they have interest. The rest will work themselves out.
Hope he comes back. But it is business first, so the Fins need to give him a reasonable offer and not try and nickle and dime him. He is clearly playing at a high level and we are short at OLB...
I think a reasonable offer is around 3 mil with bonuses for playing time & performance

Re: Jason Taylor taking his time with Free Agency
I hope Miami brings Jason back as well. He was playing out of position last year on the strongside, while Joey Porter manned Jason's natural position on the weakside.
He still put up solid numbers and is a class act and teammate, unlike Mr. Porter. His veteran leadership will be a plus for this young team also.

JT will be back. I am sure of it. He wants to be in Miami every bit as much as the team wants him to stay. No reason to fear he moves on short of a ridiculous offer for huge money elsewhere, or lousy, paltry and.or insulting money from the Fins.

He has interest from 4 other teams so they can't cheap out too much.

After last off season when he basically forced Washington to release him so he could have a chance to play with the Phins again, yes I agree. He will either play for Miami or retire. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I am not as certain JT will be back-though I pray I am wrong-JT took a big pay cut to play in Miami last year. I think he is going to expect more and return to play here and I am not sure if the current administration is going to reward his loyalty.

Re: Jason Taylor taking his time with Free Agency
No chance he comes back for the same $....
Last year he came off the worst year of his career, plagued with injuries and struggled in a new system up in Wash.
Now he is coming off a good season where he was brought in to be a situational player and relive Roth in passing situations, maybe 1/3 of the snaps would be his. He stepped up when needed to, didnt complain about and impressed anyone who was looking at him.
He deserves the money he gets this year regardless of who pays him, and if the Fins dont want to give it to him I wont hate him for going elsewhere...
