 T. Jones
Thomas Jones | Jets | Interested: Chiefs?, Browns?, Dolphins?, Eagles?, Patriots?, Lions?, Chargers?, Texans? Top Email Jones in his 30s 2008 (30 years old): 290 carries, 1,312 yards, 13 TD. 36 receptions, 207 yards, 2 TD. 2009 (31 years old): 331 carries, 1,402 yards, 14 TD. 10 receptions, 58 yards. The opening speculation on Thomas Jones was that he could get some interest from the Chargers and Texans, both of whom will need a between-the-tackles back for 2010, and the Lions might also be an option. Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune thinks that the Patriots might be interested, along with the Eagles and Dolphins if certain dominoes fall.
NFL Insider Adam Schefter took to Twitter last Monday and gave his appraisal of the market for Jones: "Best I can tell, there are four potential landing spots for former Jets RB Thomas Jones: Cleveland, Seattle, San Diego and Houston." There is history with the Mangenius and Jones, so we'll see if that relationship affects the negotiations at all. ESPN's John Clayton concurs on Cleveland, noting that Jones could be a good pairing with Jerome Harrison (and a fine Chianti?).
But first, he's going to visit with the Chiefs, per Schefter. An interesting twist, given the emergence of Jamaal Charles in 2009, but in the modern NFL, a team needs (at least) two solid options at running back.
This according to ESPN, Phins might have some interest In Jones, but looks like the Browns are front runners. He is another bruiser.

Source: Chiefs, Jones sign 2-year deal http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4980364Quote: Kansas City signed running back Thomas Jones to a two-year deal worth $5 million, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The Chiefs announced the deal Tuesday but declined to disclose the terms.
Jones was released by the Jets last week after being due a $3 million roster bonus on top of a $2.8 million base salary this season. He and the Jets failed to reach a compromise on restructuring his contract; the team wanted him to take a pay cut.

Jones wasn't the only running back on Kansas City's radar. After spending Tuesday with the Washington Redskins, Pittsburgh Steelers free-agent running back Willie Parker was scheduled to visit the Chiefs on Thursday, a league source told Schefter, but the trip was canceled when Jones entered the fold.
The Chiefs also met with Justin Fargas on Tuesday, according to a league source.

 Re: T. Jones
I guess the fact that we were rumored as a possible team of interest only solidifies the impression give to many that we are rumored to have interest in every single free agent in the NFL. lol
