1/24/11: McNutt is an underrated prospect and could be a steal. In 2011, he made 82 catches for 1,315 yards and 12 touchdowns. McNutt produced big plays in all levels of the defense and beaten secondaries with a combination of size and quickness. The only teams that truly limited him were Nebraska and Oklahoma. McNutt couldn't get separation from Nebraska cornerback Alfonzo Dennard. If McNutt had gotten the better of Dennard, then McNutt could be a first-round pick.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder could have even more production if he played in a better passing offense. McNutt has deceptive speed, good hands and runs good routes. He is capable of making big plays downfield with his speed or his size.


This guy could be a sleeper pick and since we have ties to the Iowa Hawkeyes we should know everything there is to know about the kid and he could be our new #2 WR......

I wouldn't be surprised if he runs under 4.5 at the combine.

He actually came in competing at quarterback with Ricky Stanzi.....so he's a versatile player in that sense.

I think he can...he's the best receiver to ever come out of Iowa, that's for sure.

I can't remember a draft where we had so many coaches on our staff who actually coached the players we are in need of during the draft. Tannehill and McNutt would be key additions....

I was impressed with him at the Sr. Bowl. He's big, and knows how to use it.

That said, not sure we need another big WR in this offense. Need more speed.

I agree but I think he may have deceptive speed. I think he may be a deep threat without being a speedster.
