Great pick up for us. I was thinking about if we plan on drafting a ILB or 2, what are the chances that we try and trade Crowder for draft picks??? I mean Crowder is a good player, but I think some team might be desperate to get a young veteran ILB. So, maybe having Dansby and McClain in the middle or Micah Johnson. Your thoughts??

Right pick for both teams. Both teams should be better at those positions now. Look , every year the big name free agents are going to sign the richest conracts ever at that position (except maybe if you sign with the Pats) Next year it will be other guys. Yes both teams over paid maybe but they did not break the bank. I guess you can say they paid market value. We might have been fortunate that there were not more teams in the Dansby sweepstakes. I dont expect anybody on this board to disagree with this signing ... just like Porter & Wilson you see how you did a year or two from now.

IMO Rolle is not worth that kind of cash. He's too inconsistent. Dansby the much better investment.

This is how Eli is making more than Peyton. He's not better, he just signed a contract more recently.

More recent = more money.

This offseason Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and Drew Brees might all sign contract extensions. IF that happens expect the 3 biggest contracts in NFL history.

Yes they needed to address ILB bad. The problem is they still need to address OLB, NT, S and WR.

I thought Dansby was the right move to make at a big position of need for Miami. Like FINesse said, you over pay for the premium free agents, but in Dansby you get a guy that is one of the premier ILB, even without the Pro Bowl selections. Plus, he has the versatility to play OLB as well.

I figure 98% of Miami fan rarely watched either. Now that they will be able to watch his every move & realize that Dansby does not walk on water then Miami will have picked wrong.

Personally I liked the Dansby pick up more simply because there are more quality safeties available.

Good choice, but that doesn't mean it was the only one. They could have snagged both, but Safeties are dime a dozen right now.

He has big shoes to fill. All of our middle linebackers have to measure up to Zach.

I am a little mesmerized by his 6'4" height ... and right in the middle.
