This guy sure has helped himself at the combine. Read the analysis on the NFL.com site on him and then look how his performance in the drills is proving the analysts wrong....at least as far as speed.

They say he doesn't have the speed to challenge defenses....and he runs a 4.4 40 yard dash.

http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/dor ... ?id=497222

Check out his vertical and broad jump....highest amongst the tight ends....by a large margin. Strong too, 24 reps in the bench press. He played a lot of positions in college....interesting.

Mike Mayock predicted his performance.

I don't like him as much as some other potential stretch the field type TE's....He did not do well in the gontlet drills, dropping a few passes.

Jimmy Graham is somebody I am REALLY intrigued by...He has Antonio Gates written all over him.

6'6, 260 lbs and did 20 reps at 225 lbs and ran a 4.56 40 and caught the ball well during the combine workouts. That is one Jimmy Graham.

He's in my mock draft in the 4th round.

6'4" 226 lbs and runs a 4.4 in the 40! He is the second coming of Boldin but faster. I'm drafting him as a WR forget TE. Plus a full training camp in Miami and this kid will be 218 lbs by August, Lean and Mean. Please get him in the 3rd or 4th round even though i think he doesn't last past the 3rd. Here are his highlights.....

He might be able to play both. But, you have to wonder about his blocking ability at that weight. He definitely looks more of a WR then a TE. He is quite strong though.

BTW.. This guy has 43 inch vertical. HOLY CRAP. Highest vert at the Combine yet. Can't imagine this dude as a TE. He would give LB's nightmares.

This guy would be a great addition. With 4.4 in the 40, he'll create huge mismatches for defenses. We need some big targets for Henne. Here's some more highlights.

Scroll up a few posts, i put this in already. But I agree with you totally, and I wouldn't use him at TE. I think he is a legite WR.

Dorin Dickerson
Height:6'4"
Weight:226 lbs.
Arm Length:34 in.
Hand Size:9 3/4 in.
College:Pittsburgh
40 time: 4.40

If this kid doesn't qualify as a Big WR then I don't know what does. He is flying under the radar and i think can be had in the 3rd round.

Vernon Davis has developed into one of the better TE's in the game. No need to convert Dickerson to WR. I think he can make a similar transition and be a heck of a TE.

I've seen Dorin all winter...he was working out with some other NFL prospects (with Mardy Gilyard and Devin McCourty among others) at my high school before the combine. I didn't think he'd do this well but he's freakishly athletic. TE or WR, I'd have him.

Jimmy Graham is looking pretty good as well.

Dickerson tore it up at the combine. If his interviews went well, then what is not to like? I can see him at WR too. Still if he can hack blocking in the NFL, then why not play him at TE and create those wonderful mismatches?

You're right it doesn't matter what he plays he's a mismatch for a LB or CB. I hope the FO is seriously taking a look at this kid. I believer 80% of our draft should be Defense but part of that 20% MUST be this guy.....I'm betting his is going to be one of the biggest steals of this years draft.
