hmmm. i know this is football and so its a different story...but you dont hold on to a toxic asset because you payed a lot of money for it.
And as for other needs..nothing seemed to hurt us more than our inability to defend the big play, so I dont know that there are bigger needs.
While I might agree, we must also entertain the reality that big plays on the back end, don't always
have to do with lacking talent on the back end. The front 7 dictates as much as the secondary when it comes to the big play. If the front 7 does their job, the big play shouldn't be an issue because it rarely even gets tried. There just simply isn't the time to allow the big play to develop if the front 7 does their job.
But yes, Wilson was pretty terrible last season.
