I like how defensive minded it is, but there is no way Spikes makes it to the 2nd round. Every other mock I have seen has him in the 1st.

I dont know much about the guys in rounds 4-7. Many people are singing Earl Thomas's praises, I just havent seen him mocked as high as 12. He seems to be what you want in a FS. I really like the Spikes pick. His big negative is speed so I'm not sure what the scouts will think of him. Considering a lot of big name LBs like Mauauluga, Laurinitis, and others have fallen to the 2nd round before so he could easily be there for us. I've heard some positives about Norwood but I cant make a case for him yet.

There is always a way a player can fall. All it takes is a shaky combine, senior bowl, workout, some sort of skeleton coming out of the closet, a low score on the Wonderlic or a poor interview and a player's value can drop pretty significantly.

There was talk Rey Maualuga would be the 5th pick in the draft to Cleveland last year, and he ended up going in the middle of the 2nd round....I wouldn't be shocked if Spikes got to the 2nd, but I would not count on it.
Eric Decker in the 6th round?? Talk about a steal...the guy is the next Vincent Jackson.
I hate the Earl Thomas pick at 12.
I can't see Eric Norwood get all the way into the 3rd, but that would be a steal.
I am not a fan of Hardesty. Don't know much about the last 3 picks.
For all you U fans, what about Graham??

It is such a guessing game even in the frist round much less picking beyond that.
I think that they need to make a run at a young safety like the way they did at corner this past year.
Taylor Mays from USC would look awesome back there.
I can't believe that we let the friggin Gibril Wilson experiment gone awry last all season.

Decker is actually mocked by most people to go in the middle of round 2..... Why is it that you disagree?? Same build, strengths, weaknesses....Just reminds me of him. IMO this play says it all about Decker. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtTh_FNIkP8&NR=1

Jackson is one of the NFL's premier receivers...to say Decker, a guy who has never had a double digit scoring season will be the next Jackson just seems ridiculous.

BTW...Eric Decker tore up his knee last season....
