 Re: The 111
As far as RB's why isn't LaGarrett Blount on your list? I hope he falls to us in the later rounds like the 4th. Power and speed but maybe has to go to anger management. I know he has character issues but if he slips into the 4th I would jump on him. Sleeper of the draft!

 Re: The 111
Blunt's a talent, and while I blame the other guy somewhat in the incident @Boise St., what he did was unacceptable.....and in his senior year??
And it wasn't his first incident. Pass....even if it's the 7th.

You must be joking! I don't even remember who we drafted in the 7th round last year but if Blount is there that's the all time steal of the draft. Watch this kid next season, I am certain he becomes one of the top rookies of the year.

 Re: The 111

 Re: The 111
Well, Tae's "character concerns" ended up being BS. Blount punched a guy in the face on national TV, and had several other incidents previous. Vontae's supposed concerns were not trying hard enough because he thought he was the shiz.

 Re: The 111
PZ, the comparison between Vontae and LaGarette are off base. I always thought the issues with Vontae were BS with the exception of the incident with Coach Zook, and prior to the incident in the Boise State game Blount had been suspended indefinately prior to the incident in Boise by Mike Belotti in 2008 for missing several team work outs. Chip Kelly reinstated him after being named HC.
That being said, even with the fact that Blount talked a lot before the game, he got in no one face and Hout decided to push the envelope and got clocked. Blount was certainly wrong and should be thankfull Kelly did not suspend him for the year, but Hout got off light for the most part.
I would certainly consider LaGarette in the mid rounds, although he needs to be checked throughly.

I applaud Blount. This kid made a mistake and paid for it dearly. He stepped up and took his punishment with class. I wish him the best at the next level.

 Re: The 111 - 2/26
Ggippo or Tony I was wondering what do you guys think of Stephen Williams from Toledo, Danario Alexander From Missouri, Seyi Ajirotutu from Fresno State and Terrell Hudgens from Elon. Do you guys think they would be worth a look in the later rounds for us?

 Re: The 111 - 2/26
Forget what I said about CJ Spiller...if Miami signs Dansby and Spiller is there, they should take him. Imagine having Brown, Spiller, and Williams running that Wildcat...amazing.

Do you guys think they would be worth a look in the later rounds for us? Maybe Danario Alexander if he would drop to the fifth or sixth round but he could be guy that cant beat the press and struggles with sinking his hips while running routes, same for Seyi. Scott Long is a player that is coming on strong with a great combine workout. My favorites are in the third and fourth round range, Carlton Mitchell from USF, Eric Decker from Minnesota, and in the fifth round David Gettis from Baylor. All are big and fast. Mitchell has been compared athletically to Brandon Marshall but his hands are very inconsistent.
