 OT: Saints win Super Bowl
Biggest Congrats in the world to New Orleans. I almost wanted to start tearing up when they showed Brees with his son having that special moment. That city deserves what they're getting....Congrats to them. Awesome story. Gotta feel bad for Peyton though, as he was 1 win away from being the best of all time, as far as I'm concerned. I always had a feeling Brees would win a Super Bowl in Miami.....

Re: OT: Saints win Super Bowl
It was a enjoyable game & its great to see New Orleans get a super bowl win with all they went thru. Of course as time expired the announcers brought up how the Dolphins did not sign him ... oh well what could have been. I think even with the loss when all is said & done Peyton is the best ever. Definetly the smartest ever even with the late pick he threw. He just makes everyone on his offense so much better. I think this year he certainly distanced himself from Brady on the whole Manning / Brady debate. Once again congrats to the Saints .... what a great story. Now my football withdrawels begin.

I don't think best ever, I think if Marino had the benefit of the new era rules regarding quarterbacks he'd have at least a ring and his records would be unbreakable.

Re: OT: Saints win Super Bowl
yes congrats to the saints!!!!!!!!! those fans enjoy the days /weeks coming up then its a big off season for them ,over half the roster not under contract next year Lots of Saints headed for free agency Posted by Evan Silva on February 7, 2010 1:28 PM ET ESPN's Adam Schefter points out that 29 players on the Saints' 53-man roster have contracts that will expire this offseason. 18 are slated to be restricted free agents, while 11 are unrestricted. Key restricted free agents, barring the unlikely reaching of a new CBA, include running back Pierre Thomas, injured left tackle Jammal Brown, Pro Bowl guard Jahri Evans, and strong safety Roman Harper. Backup quarterback Mark Brunell, linebacker Scott Fujita, and free safety Darren Sharper are slated for unrestricted free agency. So the NFC champs appear likely to experience some roster overhaul. Brown, who will require a pricey tender to keep, presents the Saints with a possible dilemma, or trade possibility. Though he missed all of 2009 because of injury, Brown will have plenty of market value as an athletic 29-year-old blind-side tackle with two Pro Bowls on his resume. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/02/07/lo ts-of-saints-headed-for-free-agency/?related=1

Re: OT: Saints win Super Bowl
I am glad for the Saints.....but watching the guy we passed up on becoming the Super Bowl champ and MVP was hard to take. I fully understand why a staff might figure a QB with shoulder issues wasn't worth the risk.....but either the Dolphins have horrible luck....or make a lot of bad moves....or both.

Re: OT: Saints win Super Bowl
It was a good Super Bowl. I was actually pulling for the Colts, but I am very happy for all the Saints fans out there. I did get tired of all the New Orleans specials out there though. You would have thought the Saints were the only ones in the game;) A big congrats to Coach Payton whom I thought deserved the Coach of the Year award for bringing DC Greg Williams in. He took a pay cut (gave part of his salary to Williams) and hired Williams son to get him on the team. .

Re: OT: Saints win Super Bowl
I was rooting for the Mannings, but more importantly I wanted to see a good game. I wish the score were a bit closer. I too was a bit disappointed with the disparage in coverage over the game; the Saints must have played themselves because I heard very little about anyone else.

Re: OT: Saints win Super Bowl
Ok let me clear it up a bit. I was saying that we are going to go undefeated to the superbowl. Not counting preseason. Just regular season and postseason... Make any sense now??? And sorry for the 'text style grammer/spelling' I'm doing this on my phone and wanted to post something real quick. I just made up 21 because I really don't know how many games are played in postseason. Yes I also am trying to count superbowl win in there to

There are 3 playoff rounds and then the superbowl. But if you went undefeated you would not be playing in round 1 of the playoffs. So you could go 19-0.

Re: OT: Saints win Super Bowl
Obviously I was pulling for the Saints. That city and saints fans deserve it. I headed south for the game Friday after work and got home about 2 hours ago. That place is insane. Fortunately, my boss gave me today off.
I'm really glad they won one. It's a really beautiful thing that city has with it's team. I must admit I am more than a little jealous that my teams fans aren't as rabidly passionate as saints fans are. I'll be back in New Orleans this weekend for Mardi Gras but then the affair is over and the sig will go away.
