Saw this question in ESPN the magazine and wanted to see how it would fair with my fellow dolphin fans.

I'd have enough faith in them doing it without me making that deal. Some things are just more important than football.

That'd depend on how long I live. If it were only to my 50's or earlier, I'd love to have that extra year. Anything after 75 is a nice life, and giving one up to see my beloved Phins win a championship (if they haven't already) would be great.

I thought about that and would agree with you. But lets say you don't get any foresight. For that reason I voted no.

I'll wait until another Dolphins fan gives up their year and reap the benefits.

i've seen my phins lose 2 superbowls in my life time and lets just say i'd give that year and raise you a few choice body parts to see a lombardi trophy being hoisted by someone donning aqua and orange. but thats just me though

I love the phins, but a year of my life for a superbowl win? I don't even think I'd give a month of my life for a superbowl win, and I don't think any of the players or coaches would disagree.

The answer to your question may be 42, or what is six times nine either will probably do. lol , since we are only talking hypothetically. For those who did not get my pop culture answer I apologize. Seriously I would not give up a second of yours or my own life for something as trivial as a SB victory.

I would hope that they would do it without me needing to do anything......but being a Red Sox fan, I know how long it could take to get one.

That said, if I knew I would live 75-80+, then yeah I'd give up a year. Hell, I'd give up 2. Can't put a pricetag on what we saw the Saints do last night.

but in all seriousness, if the Dolphins won a Super Bowl the amount of happiness I'd get would extend my life for another year anyway. A unhappy life isn't really worth living, is it?....assuming that a Dolphins victory in the Super Bowl would make your life a happy one.

Just out of curiosity, how many of the No votes are overweight or smokers? I'd sure as hell lose weight for a super bowl victory. I'd probably live a year longer if I were fitter. So it holds that yeah, I would give up a year for a superbowl as I'm apparently willing to give one up for cheeseburgers and pizza.

Interesting to consider what I would give up a year of life for and what have I already done that has probably cost a year of my life.
