What!? No way. We need a deep threat opposite Marshall. I say.. if true. You have to go get him.

I'm hearing that he got out-right cut...

Anyway, Jeff Ireland, pick up the darn phone. We need a guy like this. Not kidding either.

He still has something left in the tank, and his speed could be the final piece to the puzzle. I don't care about his antics...you put him under Coach Sparano on a team that is winning and has a Playoff chance, he'll shut up and play.

Tom Brady LOVED Moss. I think he could do the same for Henne. He's a good teammate, despite the rumors and stories that you here.

Plus, how could you not want this on the team?

We need a deep threat. You have to go out and get him. How do you double Moss and Marshall!?

You can't man.

Again, I don't care if he takes plays off. I don't care if he doesn't block on run plays (although it's a myth that he doesn't...he actually puts in more effort on those types of things than you'd think). I don't care if he's a you-know-what to the media.

He's still a very good WR, and exactly what this offense is missing. Go get him.

Well so far I am shocked nobody is saying no way to signing him...

And I am not about to start that trend... First thing I thought when he started crying in NE was how nice it would be to grab him as a FA in the offseason...

Now we can get him for this season?

Seriously, he would take snaps away from who? the guy who ran out of bounds before trying to catch a TD that bounced off his gloves?

Its a no-brainer if you ask me....

I could see him going to Denver, McHoodie has history with him... Also SD not having Jackson already could use a WR.....

To be honest it doesnt look to promising....

The Vikings have given up on Moss just four games after acquiring him for a third-round pick on October 6. After calling out the coaching staff in his Sunday night press conference, Moss refused to travel with his teammates to Minnesota, instead staying in Boston with his family. He's now subject to the waivers process, with any team claiming him on the hook for his $6.4 million salary prorated over the rest of the season. The winless Bills have first dibs, but are not expected to bite. Moss indicated Sunday that he'd like to return to New England, but the Patriots are last in the waiver order. NFL Network's Jason La Canfora mentions Indianapolis and Washington as possible destinations. We'll know by 4PM ET if he's been claimed.

I don't see how he would get past the Redskins.

No chance this regime claims him, even if they had a chance to... but I'd love to see 84 and 19 starting at Baltimore next week.

Rotoworld:

Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports that the Seahawks and Dolphins are both showing preliminary interest in Randy Moss, who was waived by the Vikings on Monday.
The 4-3 Dolphins are reportedly interested in "blocking" the 6-1 Patriots from reacquiring Moss. Miami could also use him as an explosive bookend for Brandon Marshall. The Seahawks are also 4-3, so along with the Fins they'll be toward the bottom of the waiver order. We suspect that Moss might not get past the Broncos, who at 2-5 will be among the first teams eligible to put in a claim. Broncos coach Josh McDaniels coached Moss in New England.

Maybe Pennington could put in a good word for the Dolphins...

Yeah. Denver and Chicago are 2 teams I'd think would be interested.

He must have been a real head-case for the Vikings to cut him after only 4 games ... and costing them a 3rd round pick. Of course, I can't stand Childress anyways.

If he is available to us I'd grab him. Not just for gaining his talent on the deep balls, but also to keep the Patsies from getting him back.

Not sure about the lower rung team like the Broncos, but personally I do not see him getting past the Chargers with all their Wr issues right now.

If he does. Miami has to get him just to keep him away from the Pats.

THIS IS WHY THE FINS NEED MOSS:

HE CAN TELL THE FINS SOME OF THE PATRIOTS SIGNS
HE CAN TAKE PRESSURE OF MY MAN BRANDON
HE CAN MENTOR BRANDON, BRIAN, AND DAVONE
HE CAN BE THAT DEEP THREAT THAT WE HAVENT HAD IN SO LONG
HE CAN HELP US BEAT THE PATS AND WIN THE DIVISION!!!!

It amazes me that every single time a guy is let loose people around here say we "need" him. I'd take him, but I wouldn't jump up and down about it. And It wouldn't bother me one single bit if we passed on him.

Next you know, we'll "need" to pick up Camarillo when the Vikes cut him and his 6 catches.

Heck, Cincy is high on the waiver list. Could you imagine TO, Ocho, and Moss all on the same team?!

Carson Palmer would instantly become the national spokesman for Just for Men hair dye.

Even if he was, you'd have to be on some serious crack to want this guy here. Sorry, he was cut by Belichick and another team desperate for a WR. Moss is damaged goods. no thanks,

well, chances look slim for us phins fans, but the waiving of Randy Moss is not yet official:

"Randy Moss did not hit formally the waiver wire Monday, so he will not be available for teams to claim on Tuesday.
The official move isn't expected until Tuesday. If it happens then, teams will be able to claim Moss on Wednesday. The handling of the situation confirms all kinds of discord in the Vikings' organization. Coach Brad Childress clearly wants Moss off the roster, but NFL Network's Albert Breer reports that some franchise higher-ups wanted to try to work things out. Either way, it'd be a shock if Moss played another snap in purple."

Wasn't Moss "damaged goods" when he got traded to NE?

And what about TO? he was damaged goods for a while now, yet he is 5th in the league in receiving yards(629) and 10th in the league in receiving Td's (5).

Chicago Bears are ahead of us at 17, as well. He has to clear more than half the teams in the league before he falls to us. We are 18th in waiver order.

Really? ... how long do you think a whiny primadonna like either one of those guys would last with Sparano? What was Cincy's record again? How about Minnesotas? NE dumped Moss for an injured has-been player. They just didn't dump a guy who is about to tear up the league again. Moss had the perfect situation in NE, he blew it and knows it. He won't be content until he's the focus of someone elses offense. In Miami, he'd have to be just another player. I'd give him 2 weeks tops.

What do teams records have to do with this topic? You said that Randy Moss is damaged goods, so I compare that to when Randy was considered "damaged goods" when he went to NE, and with TO stats Cincy. Cincy's record has nothing to do with how GREAT TO is playing. Statistics don't win you games. If stats got you wins, then I'd understand where you are coming from.

Randy is an enigma. Ricky Williams was considered by many fins fans to be damaged goods and many upon many fans did NOT want him back in Miami.....yet he is the best RB on our roster today.

I would want Randy Moss on this team for the fact of being able to spread the field, taking pressure off of not only Marshall, but Henne as well, and could be what we need to run the ball forcefully.....again.

"He won't be content until he's the focus of someone elses offense." He wasn't the "focus" in NE.

He's loved in the locker room. Him being a "cancer" is a complete fallacy.

He's the first one at practice every day. Helps out the young guys. Is always talking football....and oh yeah, the dude can play on Sundays.

I think they NEED to put in a claim. He could be the missing piece.

No, its not. He pitched a fit and whined like a baby after the Dolphins game this year and was promptly showed the door. He also got himself kicked out of Minnesota after only a month. A team player he is not.

As for his performance, he certainly hasn't showed it this year.

I agree Miami should put a claim in. Even if its just so the Pats dont get him back and end up with an extra draft pick without losing anyone. But I dont think there is a chance in h*** that Miami gets him. There are plenty of teams ahead of them in the waiver order that could use him.

If Miami is awarded the claim, it could be the piece that propells them to a playoff appearance.
