Breaking News: Source says WR Patrick Turner has been cut in favor of Roberto Wallace and Marlon Moore, who have both made Miami's roster.

I guess the writing was on the wall but I think given a real oppurtunity this guy might have something. Funny how at the start of the preseason Turner & White were singled out by the coach & players as to who has really improved & it looks like they will both be cut.
Thanks for the up to the minute updates ... where are you getting them from??

Darlington said Fins would like to see Pruitt on the PS, meaning Julius Pruitt was released or will be released.

How could they possibly prefer Proctor and Pat McQuistan over Donald Thomas?? This doesn't make any sense to me...

Miami currently has no guards from last year's team. Smiley, Thomas gone, Garner (IR)....am I forgetting somebody?

This is baffling. Thomas should be a starter on this line...and he doesn't even make the team?

Andrew Hartline released...Guess that means Grove's roster spot is pretty much solidified. He'll be the starter and Berger will be the back-up LG/RG.

Anyone else wondering about Pat White ... thought he would be one of the early ones.

Both are eligible.

Wouldn't be surprised if Patriots picked up Dotson. He played well against them last season and NE is thin at DE/NT.

So far Ben Volin is the only one to mention Pat White being cut.

Mike Berardino is saying that no decision has been made yet on him, and that a trade could be in the works.

EDIT: Adam Schefter now also reporting Pat White has been cut.

OMG, Pat White is gone. He's so fast, the wildcat is so awesome. he can run the option. Dumb move, some team will scoop him up like the Pats and kill us with him during the season. Pat Turner? Man, his size and hands are so raw. I can't believe thise front office. I wonder is Jason Allen will be cut. He is so raw too! Remember all those big hits in college? THese 3 guys will come back to haunt us.

Sources confirm #Dolphins have released ILB J.D. Folsom (2009 7th rounder) and DL Ryan Baker. Baker likely PS addition if he clears waivers

Donald Thomas is a little bit of a surprise, but he's been falling fast anyways. Sparano's specialty is the offensive line, so I think I'll go with him on this one.

I'm not sure if Makchell is being serious or not lol, but I do think that PWhite and Turner could come back to haunt us... no doubt in my mind Seattle picks up Turner, they just cut Houshmandzadeh

They cut Housh for monetary reasons, he was set to make $7 mill that Seattle didn't want to pay him. I say they pick up Turner because of Carroll lol

WQAM just reported David Martin got cut....WOW. Do they like Nalbone that much or they have somebody else out there in mind?

Also, word is Murtha made the team, and the Dolphins are looking for a DE to replace Douglas/Grant.

I'm not surprised Murtha made it, although that's out of necessity. I don't buy the latter of the sentence above though.

I posted in another post that it would be nice to see him on the PS, so I'm glad he made the team. We should know by 4 or 5 tonight who and who didn't make it.

phinsspotlight

Excellent point RT @DolphinsNews: Are the #Dolphins planning on bringing back David Martin after Week 1 (avoiding guaranteeing full salary)?

By cutting him they still have to pay him 6mil this year. The best move would have been to work out a trade, but I guess they figured they would move on instead of waiting for the right partner.

The Dolphins cut TE David Martin. That was a bit of a surprise, but it may just be a money thing.

Quote:
Watch the tight end situation closely. I'm hearing that David Martin is on the outs and John Nalbone will make the team. The Martin portion makes sense because if he is on the roster the first week of the season, his entire salary is guaranteed. The Dolphins probably do not wish to do that.

Again, the Dolphins won't necessarily go with only two tight ends. The waiver wire may add a player at that position. It is also possible Martin gets re-signed after the first week of the season.

LOL! I've hated these guys since day one. I was jabbing at some homers that post around here that thought White was the next Marino and Turner was the next Moss but taller. Turner was a value in the 3rd but White was a reach and you can add Jason Allen to mis as a bust as well.

Not all the big boys got it. Smith may be next if he don't get to work. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Sean Smith fan, but if he keeps going backwards... Pay Revis?
