I've yet to figure out why so many fans have faith in Gase. In two yrs I've not seen one thing he has been doing well other than jettison some of Miami's best players, because they question him. So far all I see is a younger version of Philbin.
It sounds like it was less of a problem with Gase per say, and more of each player thinking they should be the focal point of the offense. The running game got better when Ajayi left. Landry has never really been a game changer. When he got double digit targets, even dating back to 2016, the team did not have a winning record.
I think Gase wants more of a Belichick style offense where everyone is being used at different times to keep defenses guessing. Landry wanted to be paid as though he was Calvin Johnson who could take over a game. Ajayi did better as a rotational guy in Philly.
