Apparently, Brandon Marshall is an equal opportunity punter. After booting a ball over a fence after a dropped pass in Monday’s workout, Marshall punted one a short distance Tuesday morning after making a catch.
Of course, Marshall did the same thing after a drop in Denver last season and it became a major story, one in a long series of missteps that ultimately got him traded to Miami.
Marshall caught 3-of-4 passes thrown his way in a practice that heavily accented offensive execution. The other was knocked away by cornerback Vontae Davis.

DOLPHINS TIDBITS: Before the team’s first 11-on-11 drill, the offense huddled together and rocked up and down to a special chant in order to get fired up for practice, but on the very first play, wide receiver Brandon Marshall dropped a pass from quarterback Chad Henne. Three plays later he left cornerback Sean Smith on the ground, got wide open down the left sideline and caught an easy pass from Henne. After making the catch he punted the ball high in the air in jest as yesterday he did the same thing in anger after a drop. ... Kicker Dan Carpenter was a perfect 6-for-6 on field goals kicking into the stands with the fields flipped, but his last attempt from 41 yards was wide left. ... This afternoon’s practice at 5 p.m. was moved inside the practice bubble and will not be open to the public.
