This is the quick reaction post from today's scrimmage at Dolphins camp.

Bottom line?

I wasn't impressed by anyone other than Jake Long, Cameron Wake and Nolan Carroll. Read the play-by-play and you might understand why. The most impressive wide receiver was Brian Hartline.

Post Re: Roughcut play-by-play of today's scrimmage
I'll post my observations before reading the article:

I only stayed for the first hour, my wife couldn't handle the heat and the packed bleacher seats.

David Martin is back, and he made a beautiful one handed catch in the back of the endzone. I missed who was in coverage, but the pass looked to be way too high and MArtin to be way too slow to get it. Sure enough he threw one hand up and pulled it in, great play.

Nolan Carroll is gonna be a star, trust me. He has the competitiveness and talent to make it there. He picked off Thigpen on one play, and on the next play dropped another pick. You could see the frustration when he dropped the INT, he is very competitive.

Wake had a play where he blew by Jake Long and would've broke Henne's back if it weren't blown dead. A few plays later, however, he was over aggressive in rushing the QB and didnt realize the ball was being run the other way.

Marshall wasn't having a great day, one pass went right threw his hands and was fortunate to fall incomplete. Smith also broke up a deep sideline route. He did have a reception in the corner of the endzone for a TD, but that was about all I saw.

Marlon Moore dropped a punt, and then dropped 2 passes that he should've caught. Coverage was tight, but the ball was in his hands on both plays.

Misi had a nice play where he was locked on Fasano. He bumped Fasano off the line and acted like he was going back with him, and then he saw Ronnie run out to the flat. Misi pushed Fasano off to the safety and hit Ronnie right as he caught the ball, no gain.

Brandon Fields has one hell of a leg, he was punting the ball 65-70 yards consistently. When it came time to drop the ball inside the 10, he was nearly perfect.

Jason Allen looked good, Pat White was decent..Ricky had a nice gain up the middle, would've been about 15-20 yards easily.

I may think of more later, this is all I got for now..
