Has to be OLB. I'm actually very pleased with not only our starters but our depth at every other position on this team. I really think that OLB could be an issue though.
I know that Mike Nolan is not Paul P. in that he relies on his OLB's for pressure. No, he sends in crazy blitzes and the QB does not know who or where they are coming from. But, even with that said, there comes a time when you are going to need to provide pressure from the outside with a basic 4 or 5 man rush. Starks, Odrick, Merling and Langford should be able to provide pressure from the interior, but the OLB's do have to show up.
Cam Wake needs to show the coaching staff that he can play the run. I couldn't care less about his coverage skills. "He can't drop back into coverage right now" -- OK, good for him, then send him after the QB. If Cam is just a 3rd down specialist, Miami is going to have a tough time getting pressure from the outside on 1st and 2nd down. Charlie Anderson sucks, Quinton Moses is nothing more than depth and Koa Misi is a creative pass rusher, but he does not have natural pass rushing skills. He's not going to get there consistently.
And if God forbid either Cam or Koa get hurt...
Miami is going to deeply regret not resigning JT. I guarantee it.
I agree on JT phinsrock. I know everyone thinks I just liked him as a gorgeous man. But I first liked him as a ball player. He's good and was an asset to our team. Hated seeing him go and like you, I think they will regret it sooner than later.
