Tuesday is June 1, the day Rams free safety O.J. Atogwe is expected to hit the open market and a multi-team bidding frenzy ensues.
So it was probably a good idea for second-year man Chris Clemons to be particularly active on Friday, pulling down a leaping interception during the morning session, communicating like a Red Bull-swigging dispatcher in the back of the defense and generally doing everything possible to make his case to maintain the status quo.
“Again, it’s early stages. It’s hard to make too much comment on where that’s at or where it will go. But we do like what we see out of the young guys and they’re getting a lot of reps. We’re splitting them pretty evenly with all the guys. ”
If it sounds like Nolan was fairly guarded in his comments, he was.
Wouldn’t surprise me one bit if the Dolphins were in on the bidding for Atogwe.
