Henne is a keeper. He also loves the idea of playing the same position as Marino. Some might shun that pressure and wilt under it -- many have -- but Henne isn't one of those softies.

"I love it," Henne said. "The guy was a role model, a guy who I look up to and now I get to try to chase what he's done here. You have to thrive on that."

It is not like he is the next guy. It has only been about ten years since number 13 lined up for Miami under center.

Exactly what I was thinking .... Fiedler followed Marino & quite frankly when you think about guys who followed a legend was not all that bad.
The Marino stigma should be all gone by now. Henne is just the newest hope. And to date the most promising.

I don't think Henne has to worry about being the next Marino........while I loved Marino we were never a well rounded team with him, like I feel we are now with Henne. But that's not a nock on Marino, thats just what he had to work with.......if he had a top running game and a good D-fence like we have now, he could have won 3 rings......JMO

Following Marino? Hardly. Is Kyle Orton following Elway? Or is he following Jay Cutler. Trent Edwards must be underperforming because he's in the shadow of Jim Kelly.

It got to the point where having a QB "competition" in the preseason was a given. Is this the first year that Henne is the leader no question? Seems strange.
