Did anyone hear about any problems with Marshall while Shanahan was the Head coach? If not lets get him because with all the crap with Josh (too young to respect enough to call by last name) it seems that he causes the controversy. Just something to think about cause man what a "man-bear-pig" of a player. Hopefully someone gets the reference

John Clayton wrote that the price tag for Marshall at this point is a 2nd round pick with the hope of 1st rounder if competition grows. That is assuming he isnt signed as an RFA. He cites the Braylon Edwards trade as a reason teams will be unwilling to just give up 1st rounder.

I tend to agree with the professor. Everyone thought the Cowboys trade for Roy Williams set the standard but the subpar results have probably counteracted that. If the Cowboys were to can Roy Williams or consider dealing him I wouldnt mind Miami at least investigating.

Back on subject. I could see Miami considering Marshall if their sense was that he would do what is necessary to win. Its pretty obvious his numbers would still be impressive in this offense. I think Boldin carries less of a price tag and has the characteristics you want, but Marshall has better on field potential.

When I compare the Edwards trade I realize the Jets didnt give up a 1st, but simply that the 3rd and 5th rounder were a cautionary offer. While Marshall's production is insanely better, I think the off field incidents and bad attitude are what may force teams to make a cautionary offer for Marshall.

I would have no problem with Miami offering a 2nd round pick and Ted Ginn to Denver for Marshall.

At the same time I would have no problem with Miami offering a 3rd round pick and Ted Ginn to Arizona for Anquan Boldin.

This is of course assuming Ginn has any value to those teams which I think he does.
