Post Pennington: Re-signing with Miami "just feels right"

• Chad Pennington knows he could have been competing to be a starter again if he had signed with a quarterback-starved team. But Pennington, who turns 34 in June, said he's content

``I felt like the grass isn't always greener on the other side,'' he said. Re-signing ``just feels right. I feel I was brought here to be a part of something special, and I feel I needed one more year to help finish what we started in 2008. As you get older and have more years in this league, you start to value the people and coaches you work with, and that becomes more important to you.''

Plus, ``this is the right place for me to rehab

``I'm pleasantly surprised. Since March 22, I've done everything everyone else has. All of the underneath and intermediate stuff is really good. The last thing to always come in rehab is the long ball.''

Pennington said White's accuracy has improved. ``I've been on the field to see it,'' he said. ``He's throwing better. He has some tools. It's a matter of putting it all together.''

I wouldn't go that far. I think David Lee will take over within the next 2-3 years.

Pennington has said that after his playing days are over he would like to coach some highschool football, or lower level college ball, as the game is still "pure" at those levels.

I can easily see him on TV though as a color commentator.

Agreed. I think Lee would be an excellent coordinator too.

Yeah.

Thats what we all hope for... But as mentioned above, I think he actually wants to go do some coaching at a lower level for kids that are still just having fun... I recall reading about that. But again, we will have to wait and see. Hard to think someone would turn down a job coaching in the NFL
