Post Help with Fantasy Football Site
What kind of content does everyone look for when going to a fantasy football site?

List anything and everything that you look for... all of your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I find myself google'n things like "Top 50 Fantasy Running backs in 2010", and I like doing that for every position. I like being able to print that page off, so when I am doing a live draft, I can have it right there in front of me. I know a lot fantasy sites have them already listed for you... but nothing like having my own sitting there... and having a site have all the names readily available for me is nice.

Also, maybe some type of newsticker... or flash tracker for players that are injured and are going to be out for a particular game, how many weeks expected out etc.

Rankings and a Depth Chart... Hmmm... I plan on making a "Fantasy Depth Chart" for each team... listing only players that will really be important to maximizing your fantasy points.

Whew... tough job there Hen, but it is something I need to keep in mind.

weekly weather forecasts as well. Rain, snow,...etc

Hell Yeah. In Fantasy Football it means everything late in the season. Look at the Pats last 5 games this upcoming year (Jets, @Bears, Packers,@Bills, Dolphins)....ALL COLD WEATHER GAMES OUTSIDE!!

If you draft Tom Brady as your QB in rounds 2 or 3 of your draft this year, for the fantasy playoffs he will be trying to win you a championship in snow, wind, ice cold, bitter conditions. Not favorable for a team that loves to throw the ball a ton. Think Brady will do much those final 5 games in those conditions? Probably not!

Fantasy Football is all about match-ups and conditions. If you don't factor in weather then that's half the battle you are ignoring.

I would never recommend sitting Tom Brady... there's some things you just don't do in fantasy football, and that's benching your Tier 1 players... if you don't feel comfortable playing a guy like that every single week, then you are over-thinking the situation.

Clearly this differs if you're only in an 8 team league and you have Brady and Manning on your team, but for more realistic leagues you're not going to be replacing Brady for a guy like Palmer or Eli unless Brady is on a bye, out with an injury, or having some sort of monumental break down of a season.

I was using Tom Brady as an example and his upcoming schedule for 2010. Point is the weather matters! So keeping track of weather forecasts is important.

What if it isn't Brady but a borderline starter with that type of schedule. or a middle of the road WR with that type of schedule who's team will probably be running the ball in those conditions.

I understand your point, but as only one person running a site which handles a ton of information, you kind of have to cut out some things... I mean weather is important, maybe I'll provide a weather channel NFL ticker or something... sounds like an idea.

Weather is VERY important in fantasy football.

Especially from mid October on.
