Post After months of all the same names being mentioned.....
for the Dolphins at #19. (Z. Martin, CJ Mosley, M. Moses) could the pick actually end up being Tennessee tackle Ja'Wuan James?

Quote:
Miami does not have a first-round grade on Virginia T Morgan Moses, according to the Miami Herald.
Trusted beat reporter Adam Beasley reports that the Dolphins, who badly need a starting RT, have first-round grades on just five offensive tackles: Notre Dame's Zack Martin, Michigan's Taylor Lewan, Texas A&M's Jake Matthews, Auburn's Greg Robinson and Tennessee's Ja’Wuan James. "In their eyes, there’s a drop-off to the next level, which includes Virginia’s Morgan Moses," Beasley wrote. ESPN's Todd McShay calls Moses "one of the 15 best players in the draft."

The Dolphins covet Notre Dame OL Zack Martin, according to the Miami Herald.
The Fins seem destined to spend the No. 19 pick on a RT to pair with LT Branden Albert, but it's not likely that Martin will fall to them. "He can go anywhere in the top 17," ESPN's Mel Kiper said. The 6-foot-4, 308-pound Martin said he'll play either guard or tackle at the next level. "The kid is a reliable, consistent player," Kiper said. "He will come in right away and help you. He’s a safe pick."

Sources tell the Miami Herald the Dolphins have a first-round grade on Tennessee OT Ja'Wuan James.
It's interesting because teams are typically selective with first-round grades, generally assigning only 20 or so of them each year, and James has generated scant buzz among draftniks. At 6-foot-6, 311 with 35-inch arms, James has ideal NFL left tackle build but played right tackle at Tennessee. He would be a Week 1 starter at right tackle in Miami, bookending LT Branden Albert.

NFl.com's Daniel Jeremiah notes Tennessee T Ja'Wuan James has been a nice surprise during the draft analyst's film study.
James "does a nice job using his length in pass pro," according to Jeremiah. The Volunteer exited Senior Bowl week early due to a sprained knee. Our own Josh Norris does not see eye to eye with Jeremiah here, but James does have plenty of experience at right tackle in the SEC.

Tennessee T Ja'Wuan James reminds NFL.com's Gil Brandt of Titans RT David Stewart.
Specifically when Stewart entered the NFL from Mississippi State in 2005. "He's strong but doesn't have great feet (would have difficult time at LT)," Brandt wrote. "He's mean and tough. Did good job on Jadeveon Clowney when the South Carolina defensive end lined up on James' side. Good run-blocker. Could find his way into the third round with a good showing this week [at the Senior Bowl]." James has been overshadowed at Tennessee by Dallas Thomas and Antonio Richardson, but he's big (6-6 1/8 and 315 pounds) and talented and will draw the spotlight from scouts.

I wonder if there's any truth to Lazor not liking Moses.

Gil Brandt moved him up to 39th on his big board, right behind Bitonio.

Quote:
30. Morgan Moses, OT, Virginia
There are some questions about Moses' work habits and toughness, but he has outstanding size for the position (6-foot-6, 314 pounds) and very long arms (35 3/8 inches). He played right tackle before moving to the left side in 2013.

Quote:
39. Ja'Wuan James, OT, Tennessee
Not many true freshman start in the SEC, but James did, starting 49 consecutive games at right tackle for Tennessee. I think he can start as a rookie in the NFL. He's a good run blocker who plays hard every down, and he played well against Jadeveon Clowney when they were matched up.

Ja'Wuan James sounds like a 2nd round target to me. I hope they are thinking Zach Martin or playmaker in the first round. There is no need to reach.
