Bryant McKinnie, who started 10 games for Miami last season and is willing to switch to right tackle, has not been contacted despite the Dolphins’ openings on the offensive line.

BY ADAM H. BEASLEY

At this point in his career, Bryant McKinnie will play just about anywhere for anyone.

The Dolphins have a vacancy at right tackle.

And yet, there’s no sign that the two will reunite in 2014. As of Tuesday morning, the Dolphins had not reached out to McKinnie about returning next season, the Miami Herald has learned.

Maybe my memory is fuzzy, but I thought he did a passable job for us last season considering his age and point in his career. I wouldn't mind signing a vet like that just for the depth/insurance. If he comes at a reasonable price, it would be dumb to let him go. If nothing else you cut him before the season starts if you feel that he is unnecessary.

If this were said after the draft I would be scratching my head, but we still have a draft to complete.

He's going to wait till a team really needs him and the Dolphins most likely wont start him anyway so this is no surprise just wait it out till at least after the draft

He wasn't signed until May last year so I'm not worried about it. But if he is willing to play right tackle it might be a good value signing for 2014. Maybe spend a later pick on his replacement.

He's a natural left tackle. Moving him to the right could be a recipe for disaster

He is so good that no other teams are contacting him either.

Its a pretty deep draft for tackles.

Which is exactly why they are not pouncing to sign an aging 35 year old lineman.

The only thing I don't want is Miami going into the draft picking for need or having glaring holes. Fortunately RG and RT, while important spots, aren't like going in without a QB, WR or LT.

McKinnie and Clabo should still be available for a vet minimum after the draft if Miami has to go down that road.

Nor should they. McKinnie didn't play well at all for us.
